Mariah Niemeyer, OTD, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Mariah received her Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of South Dakota. During her schooling Mariah had the opportunity to complete clinicals in the school setting and outpatient pediatrics. She also did an in depth clinical in a nontraditional child care setting, where she put together a therapeutic resource manual covering sensory exploration, social-emotional regulation, self help skills, and a variety of other topics. This resource manual was created to be used by child care providers and implemented with children of all abilities.

After graduating in 2019 Mariah worked in the inpatient acute setting working with a variety of patients from critical care to orthopedics, including pediatrics. After four years, she was eager to join the Connect family and get back to working in pediatrics full time. Mariah has a particular interest in sensory regulation and feeding therapy to promote engagement in typical childhood activities and support growth and development.

In addition to her role as an Occupational Therapist, Mariah is a wife and mom of two. She enjoys going on walks, taking trips to the zoo and other local activities with her kiddos, gardening, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
